The “Public Control Platform” is an independent association of fighters for truth and justice. We fight against corruption and abuse of power, implement reforms and develop civic activism.
OUR MISSION
We promote and implement reforms to make Ukraine a prosperous, technologically advanced and environmentally safe country, and to ensure that government agencies provide transparent and fair rules of the game for citizens, businesses and institutions.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
The “Public Control Platform” systematically works in three areas:
Fighting corruption: conducting investigations to detect corruption, informing the public and law enforcement agencies about their results, and putting pressure on the authorities and police to bring the perpetrators to justice. Our investigations usually focus on local councils and the executive branch of government.
Implementation of reforms at the level of city councils and regional administrations. In the course of investigations, our experts find many non-transparent or inefficient processes. We then develop proposals for reforming old processes or introducing new ones. This area of activity involves advocacy campaigns. After all, in order for the developed solution to be adopted, it is necessary to go through a difficult process of “pushing” the reform at parliamentary commissions, preliminary discussions, and in general, in the bureaucracy.
Development of civil society
This area involves working with NGOs and active citizens who want to contribute and change the country for the better, but do not yet know how to do it and where to start. We provide training for civic activists on various aspects of government control and advocacy. We teach them how to do what we do ourselves and try to fully share our experience and successful cases for replication and scaling in other localities or at the national level.
